How we look after your information
Who we are
Daughters of the King is run by DoK Women’s Ministry CIC (Company No. 17515331), 2A East Walk, Harlow, Essex CM20 1JH. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website. You can contact us at info@dokministry.org.uk.
What we collect, and why
Prayer requests. What you write, and your first name and contact details if you choose to give them. You can send a request without your name. We use it to pray for you, and to reply only if you ask us to.
A prayer request often says something about your faith, your health or your family. The law treats this as special category information, so we only use it with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form.
Event tickets. You book through Eventbrite, and Eventbrite’s own privacy policy applies. We see the name and email address you book with and use them only to run the event.
Emails and calls. If you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply.
Gifts and Gift Aid. You give through PayPal, and PayPal’s own privacy policy applies. If you make a Gift Aid declaration, GTIM UK keeps your name, home address and postcode with a record of your gifts, so it can claim Gift Aid from HMRC. We keep these records for [as long as HMRC requires].
Who sees it
Only our prayer team and ministry leaders. We never sell your information, never use it for marketing, and never share it outside the ministry, with one exception: if we believe someone is at risk of serious harm, we may need to tell the right services so they can help.
Our legal basis
Your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and, for special category information, Article 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your request.
How long we keep it
Prayer requests: [3 months], unless you ask us to keep praying. Event bookings: [6 months] after the event. Emails: [12 months] after our last reply.
Where it is kept
Prayer requests and Gift Aid declarations sent through this website are received by Framer, our website provider, and passed to our ministry email inbox, info@dokministry.org.uk. The map on the tea party page comes from OpenStreetMap, which sees your device’s internet address when the map loads. [Confirm whether the website uses cookies or analytics.]
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and withdraw your consent. Email info@dokministry.org.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
